Why it matters

Help is a long way from here.

Out here, the first people on scene are usually our neighbours. Our fire department makes sure they have the right gear, in the right place, ready to go. Here's where your donation goes:

The fire hallNow building

A secure, heated home for the department's gear and a base for volunteers to train and respond from.

Equipment

Pumps, hose, protective gear, and tools that let our volunteers act fast, long before outside help can arrive.

Supplies and readiness

First aid supplies, fuel, maintenance, and training that keep our responders and equipment ready year round.

The department is entirely volunteer-run. Donations to this fund are used only for fire protection at Headwaters Lakes: the hall, equipment, supplies, and training.

No tax receipts

The Headwaters Lakes Association is a non-profit society, not a registered charity, so we can't issue charitable tax receipts. You'll get an emailed thank-you receipt for your records.

For businesses

Sponsor the department.

Local businesses can support the Headwaters Lakes Volunteer Fire Department as a sponsor. We'll issue a proper invoice from the association, so your contribution is documented for your own bookkeeping.

As a non-profit society we can't issue charitable tax receipts. Talk to your accountant about how a sponsorship should be recorded for your business.

How it works
  1. 01Email us your business name, billing contact, and sponsorship amount, plus a PO number if you need one.
  2. 02We send an invoice from the Headwaters Lakes Association.
  3. 03Pay by eTransfer, cheque, or credit card. We confirm once it's received.
