About our association.
A volunteer-run, member-funded association serving cabin owners in the Okanagan Highlands near Peachland, BC. Established in 2015, formerly known as Headwaters Responders Society.
Living off the grid doesn't mean
facing emergencies alone.
The Headwaters Lakes Association was established by local cabin owners to address the unique challenges of isolated community life — including wildfire, medical situations, and access difficulties specific to our remote location.
We function as a communication bridge between residents and emergency services, including the Regional District, BC Wildfire, Search and Rescue, and the Conservation Officer Service.

Headwaters Family Camp
Situated right on Lake 1 at 21 km on Peachland Main, Headwaters Family Camp offers rustic cabin and campsite rentals for families looking to reconnect with the outdoors. With fishing, boating, canoeing, swimming, and hiking all on their doorstep, they share our love of this remote corner of the Okanagan Highlands.
